Matthews real estate September 2019: Matthews remained a seller’s market with the months supply of inventory remaining low at 2.1 months. Inventory was down 15% despite an increase in new listings of 18.6% in September. This, no doubt, contributed to the 52.3% increase in pending sales. Average sale prices of homes decreased 4% year-over-year to just under $300,000. Average days on market dropped 9 days to 38 days in September 2019 versus September 2018. With homes selling at 98.1% of asking price, buyers have minimal room to negotiate.

- Average sale price of Matthews area homes was $299,481 in September 2019, down 2.9% year-over-year.
- Median sale price for Matthews area homes in September 2019 decreased 3.4% versus one year ago to $285,000. However, median sale prices are up month-over-month.
