October is National Adopt A Shelter Dog Month. October is also the first full month of fall… why not fall for a shelter dog this fall during Adopt A Shelter Dog Month? If you’ve been thinking about “adding” to your family, why not adopt a shelter dog?

Adopt A Shelter Dog & Save A Life!
Did you know that up to 8 million pets, 3.3 million of them dogs, end up in shelters each year and that half of these will never be adopted? That may explain why over 50% of dogs in shelters end up euthanized. And if you’re looking for a specific breed, it’s worth noting that some 25% of the animals in shelters are actually pure-bred. $1 billion annually is spent picking up, sheltering, and euthanizing pets in this country! Homeless pets outnumber homeless people by 5 to 1.
