Charlotte’s Queen’s Feast: 16 Years Of Feasting

The first Charlotte Restaurant Week® took place in July 2008 and had 42 restaurants participating. In the past 16 years it grew to over 140 participating restaurants in January 2020 prior to the pandemic, attracting both local Charlotteans, as well as people from outside the area. Queen’s Feast Restaurant Weeks serves hundreds of thousands of diners and generates millions in revenue for participating restaurants in the nine counties surrounding Charlotte. In January 2020, the last Restaurant Week before the pandemic shut it down until 2021, some $10 million in revenue was generated for participating restaurants. While Queen’s Feast in Summer 2024 might not be quite as large as in the past with 100 participating restaurants, it’s a great start towards a return to post-pandemic normalcy.

Not only is Queen’s Feast a great way to enjoy great food at a reasonable cost, it’s a great way to explore new restaurants and cuisines throughout the Greater Charlotte area.
