Charlotte area offers some fun activities this weekend sure to please the entire family. Whether you like shopping for bargain, gardening, eating, there’s something for everyone!
IKEA TENT SALE
If shopping for bargains is your thing, IKEA is doing some spring cleaning of its own April 25th through May 6th. The tent sale is offering up to 70% discounts on selected items. So come and get them before they’re gone! You can shop from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm each day. And it really is a tent sale: shop under the tent in the parking lot. Ikea in Charlotte is located at 8300 Ikea Boulevard in Charlotte.
TREE FEST
With Earth Day just behind us this week, TreesCharlotte is excited to bring back its TreeFest event for a second year! This family-fun tree celebration includes tree-friendly arts and crafts, live music, and food trucks. TreesCharlotte will also be distributing tree seedlings and offering seedling potting station for anyone who would like their tree potted for them. It’s a free event open to the public on Saturday April 27th | 2:00 pm till 5:00 pm. LOCATION: The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery & Biergarten at 4150 Yancey Road in Charlotte.
GRILLED CHEESE FESTIVAL 2024
If you love to eat and if you love a great grilled cheese sandwich, don’t miss out on Charlotte’s Grilled Cheese Festival! Celebrate National Grilled Cheese Day with bites of melty, cheesy goodness paired with delicious drinks from Bloody Mary Garden, Tito’s Bar and Mimosa Bar. You can enjoy your grilled cheese and drink against the backdrop of live music, fun games and activities, and local vendors. Proceeds from the Grilled Cheese Festival will benefit AltruSpirit, a newly established non-profit that will provide athletic programming for at-risk/financially disadvantaged youth in the Charlotte area.
